Returns & Withdrawal
This page explains how the right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) under German law applies to purchases made via Interpyro.
When does no right of withdrawal apply?
The German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch, BGB) excludes the right of withdrawal for, among others: (a) goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, (b) sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery, and (c) contracts concluded at a public auction within the meaning of § 312g(2) No. 11 BGB.
Fireworks purchased via auction: no right of withdrawal
Interpyro offers products via a bidding system/auction. Under German law (§ 312g(2) No. 11 BGB), the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to contracts concluded at a publicly accessible auction ("öffentlich zugängliche Versteigerung"). Auctions on Interpyro qualify as such.
Fireworks you purchase via an auction on Interpyro therefore cannot be returned, and no right of withdrawal applies. Please carefully assess whether the product meets your expectations before placing a bid.
Purchases outside an auction
For any direct sales (fixed price, no bidding), the ordinary statutory right of withdrawal may apply, unless another statutory exception applies (for example, custom-made or sealed products). If in doubt, please contact us via the contact page.
