It started with a WhatsApp group
A few years ago we started running fireworks auctions in the Netherlands through a simple WhatsApp group. We're enthusiasts ourselves, and the idea was to help fund our own New Year's Eve fireworks in already expensive times. It quickly got a little out of hand: in the first year so many fireworks went up that we couldn't keep up.
From idea to a real website
After the fireworks season ended, the itch came back quickly. Soon after, we started building a proper website, ready well ahead of the next season, built for ease of use for buyers, sellers and ourselves. It worked: the system ran largely automated — although we noticed the site slowed down at peak times, a clear point to improve for the next season.
The move to Germany
Unfortunately that next season never came in the Netherlands: as of 2026, a full fireworks ban applies there. That was reason enough to continue our mission, this time in Germany, under the name Interpyro. As a German company we now focus entirely on the German market and the enthusiasts who live there.
Our own web app
By now we've built a fully custom website with every feature we could think of, and we plan to keep expanding it together with you and our partners. Our own (web) app automatically sends a push notification the moment you're outbid or win an auction. Go straight to interpyro.com/app to open the web app, or install it on your phone or computer for quick access without logging in again.
Our vendor portal
Stores are taken care of too: our vendor portal gives sellers a clear overview of their products, auctions, orders, payouts and more. Working with Interpyro stays just as straightforward as bidding and buying.
